I just wanted to write a quick post to announce Im working on a new project. I cant release many details right now, but it is a new kind of sales tool for companies, the service will be launching with an iPhone application. Im still sorting out partners and investors but when all that is settled I will do a proper announcement. Needless to say Im very excited about this new venture, and I will be looking for companies to beta test the service closer to launch.

Nintendo Players Guide – Chrono Trigger

I never experienced Chrono Trigger in its hayday I was a Genesis kid, cause according to top scientists “Genesis does what Nintendon’t” I did however live it out through the DS port, and it still holds up as a clever little RPG. In that vain I dugg up a copy of the original SNES Nintendo Players Guide, its so 1995 it hurts. The art, layouts, and grady design are a perfect example of every publication at the time. unreleased NES games

Most people my age share a nostalgic feeling the our old grey and black Nintendos. Mario, Contra, Zelda, Metroid all classic games, but what about the games that never made it out? For a variety of reasons, development costs, time constraints, quality many games never get out of the prototype stage, and are never released to the public. So Ive compiled together 17 unreleased game roms, many are cobbled together prototypes, or in the case of Donkey Kong Country 4 its a fan port made years after the NES died. Another interesting gem in there are Scarabeus it was being ported from the GameBoy but was never completed so the whole game is in grey and black. Click here to download the zip file with all the roms.

To anyone unfamiliar with how to play a ‘rom’ file, you will need an emulator to open them. So for windows gamers click here, and mac gamers click here to download your respective emulators.

deco devolution

The team at 2kgames that created the original Bioshock have done something very cool, they have released a free digital version of the Bioshock art book. Its a very cool insider look at the process they went through to create the immersive world of Rapture, and all its twisted inhabitants. The page on the 2k site has been taken offline however Ive hosted a copy on my server, so click the header image to download the pdf.

lbp soundtrack

In my daily crawl across the internet I dugg up a very cool soundtrack, that most people would over look and I wanted to share it with you. The Little Big Planet soundtrack is a ratatat-esq, euphoric mix of sounds from across the globe. This albums a standout amoung video game sound tracks for the very reason it doesnt sound like a video game sound track. You can click image above to download the torrent.
