overhaul

Picture 3ive never been great a hitting my own dates when it comes to launching sites. ill add some features then try to patch them into the current design and try to make the whole damn thing look nice. so most of the time im never satisfied with the site. but with my new job has shown me the light of a interesting php framework called codeigniter, that i use every day im on the clock. codeigniter works on the model, view, controller style of development which works great for making your code modular as hell, thus when i want to make changes to the site i can do them much quicker, while keeping my code clean. So im rebuilding all my projects from the ground up with codeigniter, with all my sites seeing massive feature improvements, and new profession site designs. So bitpick.org, tweetmgmt.com, and TheWaterLevel are all going to be completely overhauled and relaunched in the coming months. also i am very happy to announce that aralie.com will be getting a bunch of new features in the coming months im working the our development team to come up with some really innovative stuff.

life on the road

Picture 2
This is a state of union style post, to catch everyone up with life. I got a real job as a php developer for Citrus Media out of Oshawa, so Ive been trying to get my life in order to move to Oshawa and work my first real job. But much more important then that Im working on a new project. I cant talk to much about it right now, but its what I feel is the next step for social news sites, this site will be focused around gaming. I feel there is some big problems with the way community news sites like digg, reddit, and others work and Im offering this new site as a niche version of those dedicated to video games. When the site is closer to launch I will right a piece laying out my case. Im using alot of the tech I developed to tweetmgmt and instead of launching that site I got distracted and start working on this. Im going to ship booth with all luck by the end of September all fully featured and working, so Im taking my time finishing them so I get them right the first time.
